Ligue 1 duo plot Premier League raid

Who Could Replace Philippe Coutinho… by FootballWhispers

He was rumoured to be on Barcelona's radar but Liverpool maestro Philippe Coutinho is a transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain.

The Ligue 1 side have a task keeping Marco Verratti in the French capital, with Barça keen on bringing him to the Nou Camp, and are making contingency plans for his potential departure.

According to Telefoot, Liverpool are said to value the 25-year-old at around the €100million mark and wouldn't entertain offers under that valuation with the former Inter Milan player having a contract with the Anfield club until 2021.

Olivier Giroud is on a list alongside Carlos Bacca and Stevan Jovetić as Marseille look to find a striker to play alongside Valère Germain.

The Arsenal striker has been linked with a move away this summer and West Ham United are the front-runners for his signature, with Arséne Wenger set to bring in long-term Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette. The Lyon ace is closing in on a move to North London according to OL president Jean-Michel Aulas.

However, L'Equipe claim that it is unlikely that the former Lorient striker will swap the Emirates for the Stade Vélodrome.

Inter Milan to battle Liverpool for in demand midfielder

Gazzetta dello Sport claim Inter Milan have €60million to spend on a new centre-midfielder and have narrowed it down to three names.

Bayern Munich's Arturo Vidal, Manchester United transfer target Radja Nainggolan and the man who top's Jürgen Klopp's wish list, Naby Keïta.

Inter have had a bit of a facelift this summer with Luciano Spalletti coming in as manager after a successful stint with Roma.

The Italian coach wants to raid his former club and has targeted both Nainggolan and Chelsea target Kostas Manolas.

The club are on the verge of completing a deal to bring Fiorentina's Borja Valero to the San Siro but a more physical midfielder is on the club's list.

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to pay £70million for Guinean box-to-box midfielder Keïta and have offered him £130,000 per week, putting them in pole position for his signature.

But Inter are undeterred by this and are putting together an attractive offer for both club and player to rival Liverpool's bid.

Spalletti's men are also battling it out with Stoke City for the signature of Luan. The 24-year-old Brazilian forward had a successful campaign last season scoring 12 goals in 23 matches and, according to TuttoSport, is a target for Mark Hughes.

Bundesliga defenders on the move

Spanish news outlet AS believe Manchester United manager José Mourinho is keen on securing the capture of Borussia Dortmund central defender Marc Bartra.

The 26-year-old was a regular for the Bundesliga side last season and they have no intention of selling the versatile defender. However, Mourinho is undeterred by this and want the club to press on to land the former Barcelona man.

The ex-Real Madrid manager is keen to add depth to his defence with his first-choice pairing set to be Eric Baily and new £30million signing Victor Lindelöf.

Matthias Ginter, a transfer target for Spursis on the verge of completing a move to Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The Bundesliga side are looking to fill the void left by Andreas Christensen returning to Chelsea after his two-year loan spell.

The 23-year-old wants to leave Dortmund for regular first-team football and Kicker claim he'll get that at Borussia-Park.
